Lance King a professional singer in hard rock/ metal began training at the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy in late 1994 for a year taking a mix all courses offered, JKD, Kali, Submission Wrestling, and Muay Thai. After a year of training, he had his first child and took some time off of training. Lance found his way back to The Academy almost 5 years later when he and his son Tomy, started training again weekly in 1999, Tomy in the kids program and Lance in Muay Thai. When returning Lance remembered Muay Thai as the most demanding on him personally and figured this was the one to focus on to get back in shape. Falling in love with Muay Thai, Lance trained hard and earned his Black rank in Muay Thai in 2005 under head academy instructor Greg Nelson. Lance continues to train and teach at the academy, a recording artist with several albums released worldwide featuring his vocal talents with various bands and record companies. Lance is also the CEO of a well respected record company based in the Twin Cities, focused on progressive and power metal.
